cornell decision email: wrong submitted date?

My local newspaper puts a a quote on top everyday. Today's was, "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity" - Darrel Royal. I thought that was relevant. Good Luck.

less than 10 hours left

i call dibs on that spot patsfan =)

Hmm... following through with silvs, everyone post one applicable quote before decisions. Maybe it'll help calm our nerves.

"Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing." — Abraham Lincoln

hmmm.... we spartans can rewrite history then :-)

as for a quote, I like this one

"My mother drew a distinction between achievement and success. She said that 'achievement is the knowledge that you have studied and worked hard and done the best that is in you. Success is being praised by others, and that's nice, too, but not as important or satisfying. Always aim for achievement and forget about success.' "

Helen Hayes

we are having crazy thunderstorm weather in Chicago.....lots of loud thunder and lightning...and heavy wind.....

hopefully not a warning of things to come....

"hmmm.... we spartans can rewrite history then :-)"

We are the Green Spartans after all. Haha.

Los acentos en s

oh and BTW for those who asked, "Castellano" is castilian, it means the language spoken in Castilla, a province of what is now called Spain, and is most commonly referred to as "Spanish". Some spaniards however, feel the term "Spanish" is incorrect and preferr castilian, because there are other languages that are spoken in Spain (like Catalan, for example)

I'm going to sleep.

Tomorrow, I will wake up, and see how right this thread was.

ALMOST THERE.

so guys... six hours and counting!

catalan sounds so different from spanish..although I don't fully understand either one haha

ok...5:00 today I find out. I get home 1:45ish (no classes 8th and 9th period today) and then I have nothing to occupy my time until 5, when the fatal decision is announced. These ivy league admissions people are cruel...making us count down the hours as we wait for our fate to be determined.

Anyway lots of my friends are nervous now too, because 33/190 kids in my class applied to cornell. Cornell usually admits around 50% of applicants from our school (that's the average of RD and ED). Last year 15 out of 31 were admitted...this year I hope it's more.

i ditched third period to read if there were any updates on this thing >__>" only to find out there's like 30+ pages written since I last checked it last night. omg lol.. ahh today's gonna be the make it or break it day. i get 8 college letters today.. GOODLUCK FELLOW CC ers!!~ we'll get to find out if any theories were true today ahah :P

Think I'm just going to play a game to try to occupy the time....

Good to see that 1:28 is doing well.
I, too, am 1:28 with a 2370 SAT I, 2330 SAT IIs, 3.98 UW GPA.
I applied for Atmospheric Science in CALS as my primary and Chem in CAS as my secondary. Looks as though I might have gotten into my secondary based on the lists from a while back.

ugh. just got the R word from williams. why why grrr

You know I never thought there would be so many posts in one thread. I guess there's just so many people with so much anxiety posting their last thoughts. Oh well. Too bad Cornell can only accept 18-20% of you RDers. Good luck!

1:28 FTW. :P CAS!!

a few more hours.. and all will be over. hopefully

if i get waitlisted, i'll have to go kill something. T__T

mine is 1:18, it seems as a unique time...

I have a feeling that 1:28 = accepted to CAS :D (I just hope I'm right)
