Cornell ILR and other contract schools??

Now i understand that the contract schools at Cornell are not part of the SUNY system but regardless do they give an edge to NY applicants?? I ask because i plan to apply to ILR and as this is a contract school i want to know what the competition will be like.

This has long been debated, but short of seeing admit rates broken down by in & out of state applicants it is impossible to determine. The only first and knowledge that I have is with students whose families own farms that work closely with Cornell Cooperative Extension & have gotten in CALS with stats that even recruited atheletes couldn’t get admitted with.

When i was accepted this year from out of state when i was called by my local representative and told that it was impressive to be accepted out of state to a contract school. This would indicate that there are separate application pools so in state applicants are favored. This is questionably reliable information because this person was not on admissions.
