I know my chances are slim, but I want a realistic idea of what my chances would be if I applied ED to Cornell ILR
GPA: 3.74(unweighted)
SAT: 1950(recently retook, awaiting score
ACT: 30(retaking next month)
All of my classes are IB(7)
Clubs
FBLA(president)
Math Team
Masterminds(It’s like a competitive trivia club)
Student Senate
A community service club
I am a member of National Honor Society
I have also completed an internship at my city’s District Attorney’s office
Also, I also have a brother who is an undergrad at Cornell
I am also in state (which I have been told may help at the contract colleges)
Well, it’s obviously very early but I think you really need to improve your SAT scores and take SAT IIs. Your standardized test scores need to be much stronger because your GPA is on the low end. Other than that, keep working hard and get strong letters of rec. I truly believe that Cornell uses a holistic admissions process. With that said, you have to have the minimum level of grades to get your foot in the door and let your EC’s take over. Best of luck.
