I have been trying to access the median reports for the past few weeks, but I keep getting this error: "The requested URL /Grades/MedianGradeFA10pdf was not found on this server." Is this happening to everyone else as well? It's quite irritating.

They took them out during summer, but I’m guessing they should be back. Someone posted a link in older threads to another website to look these up.

They won’t be. The board of trustees (or perhaps some other academic committee) voted against publishing median grades. Chequerd would probably give you access to those medians.

Just read about it here:
[Cornell University Registrar: About Median Grades](http://registrar.sas.cornell.edu/Student/mediangrades.html)

That is sad.

Glad to see them finally do away with the median grade reports. Cornell had been experiencing massive grade inflation coinciding with the posting of median grades. It’s really sad to see great professors punished with decreasing enrollments in their classes simply because they decided the average student should earn GASP a “B.” It really goes against the spirit of self-directed learning to see students pick a course for its median grades.

This link [Cornell Chronicle: Faculty vote may help stop grade inflation](<a href=“Home | Cornell Chronicle”>Home | Cornell Chronicle) suggests that they could stop publishing median grades on a Cornell transcript, while the link above clearly states that median grades will still be published on transcripts.

I guess this change will help Cornell in the long run.

I didn’t know this happened, good to know. Not sure if it will help with combating grade deflation though…
