Hello. Just wanted to know if anyone else had gotten accepted to Cornell Summer College's Architecture Program for this 2008 summer. Let me know if you applied or got accepted.
Thanks, jaker09.

I did it last summer. It was such an amazing experience!!

I applied and got accepted. But I don't know if I'm going to go though because I don't think I can afford it.

I was accepted at the Individual and Social World program, if that helps.

I'm going to the architecture program this summer
email me (I don't know about you but I'm not going to
know anyone this summer)

Check out if there is a group on facebook and if there isn't make one. That's what we did last year. So a few of us knew each other before hand.

Thanks everyone. I'm glad to know some other people who are going to the Intro to Arch program. Anyone who's been in the past, is there anything specific that you might recommend packing for the six-week stay.

Thanks.

Xacto blades or your cutting blade of preference and a water bottle and an empty big sketch book or two and a fan for the studio. Everything else you can pretty much buy there or would be pretty big to carry from home.

Oh and bug spray or bug repelling candles would be good. We had a lot of problems with bugs in the studio last year. Right when it starts turning to dusk you need to close the windows because the bugs start coming in and the die in front of your face. It is disgusting. And then when you come in in the morning, a lot of times your work is covered with dead bugs and even one of the kids had bug eggs in one of his projects by the end of the summer.
