Cornell Transfer?

I didn't use the I dont care card, you did. Anyhow, it never said GT, why do you think there was always so much indecisiveness surrounding whether GT's were included. OK btw im putting this to rest here is the links explaining special students, depending on college: http://www.cals.cornell.edu/cals/prospective/admissions/applying/transfer/special.cfm

Basially it allows students to study for 1-2 semesters and isn't for a degree . . .
guess who's right!

i remember the 2007 one saying gts not included at the bottom

and the rates havent changed that much

The thing is it has never said GT, I promise you that.

I seem to remember it saying that GT's were not included also.

I'm not saying either one of you is right, just that there is not enough evidence to say unequivocally that it does or does not include GT's. Someone should call an admissions rep and ask, I may next time I speak with them but it's not really going to change whether or not I apply so...

also isn't it a little silly to resort to name-calling over this?

Hi
I am applying to Cornell as a transfer. Please give me a feed back on what are my chances.
I am a Biology major/ pre-med. I am applying for the CALS.
I have a 3.67 (I had a 3.86 but after this semester it went down  I am extremelly dissapointed, I was taking 20 credits tho  I got a B on calculus and a C in bio )
I am the Vice-president for student Government , I am in PTK, I received two scholarships from the national science foundation, I am a mentor, have a lot of community service, created and founder of a club, I am in a important commitee at my college in which the president of the college appointed me, I am also the team development chair of relay for life at my school… etc. I will have really good reccomendations letters

Please let me know what are my chances
ohh and next semester I will be taking 20 credits again. I know its a lot, but I know I can handle it. Next semester is not going to be as tough as this one so I am hoping to get straight A’s and hopefully my gpa will go up again.

Give me your feedback =)

Thank you

the C in bio will be a red flag as a pre-med student, but your gpa is still okay (they expect at least a 3.6 from pre-med applicants). make sure your essays are really good and you have a shot.

i wouldn’t suggest taking 20 credits unless you are certain that you will be getting good grades. it’s nice to see a student take a heavy courseload, but it doesn’t mean anything if you don’t do well.
