Hello all, I will be attending Cornell in the fall and have a few questions about television at Cornell. I am an avid Steelers fan, and I can't bear the thought of not seeing most of their games this season. Ithaca is located within Buffalo's sphere of influence as far as the networks are concerned, so Steelers games are almost never on basic cable up there. I have located a sports bar that could help me, but I'm trying not to spend $20 every Sunday on lunch just so I can go watch a game. Apparently the community centers have TVs that show NFL games, but I'm assuming that only one matchup will be on at a time. Should I bite the bullet and get DirecTV? Or is there a better solution? Thank you in advance!

Even if you do get DirecTV, you’re going to get screwed on the Sunday Ticket bull–it’s $314 a season on top of what you pay for regular programing. Just go to a sports bar.

I guess I’ll just use my money and go to that sports bar… or I could just find some streams of each game on the internet! Anyway, thanks.

There are enough Steelers fans around that you can usually get by. They tend to gather in the community centers or the lounges. TV use is free in each of the residence hall lounges - you just might have to fight for it sometimes (rabid Jets fans)!

There enough Eagles fans?
