Cornell Undergrad applying for PhD admission in MechE

Hey,

I'm just curious about what kind of GPA/GRE scores someone might need to gain admission to a fully funded PhD program in Mechanical Engineering, assuming they're coming out of Cornell. I'm particularly interested in Yale, Brown and UC Irvine (also I guess every UC school is pretty interesting...) so anyone who has any experience in this area..I'd appreciate hearing from you!

Thanks!

Well, not to be blunt, but those are not exactly the most elite mechanical engineering PhD programs out there. While I'm not saying they're bad, they're not exactly MIT either.

Nevertheless, I would surmise that you would still need to do decently - i.e. get at least a 700 on the GRE and at very least a 3.0 for your GPA.
