<p>From what I’ve noticed likely letters are given to two types of applicants: URMs and highly qualified non-URM students that Cornell wants.</p>

<p>I heard some colleges/schools make their decisions on rolling basis? Is that true? I applied to the school of hotel administration…didn’t hear a word from them.</p>

<p>it is true, but sometimes the rolling admissions colleges like the hotel school wont tell you until the 31st either</p>

I applied to ILR (ED), got deferred (then found out they defer all ED applicants - not so special afterall) and I never got a “likely letter” but then, again, I am snow-white!!!</p>

<p>you do check your decisions online today at 5:00 PM. You should have gotten a e-mail from Cornell instructing the site you go to.</p>
