You fail at HTML.

Ummmmm no…posters remove the spaces when the post their information so they get the desired text settings. If the commands were typed correctly with no space…posters wouldn’t know which command to enter for the text settings.

And while I’m on this thread: Congratulations to all of the accepted students…enjoy it because you’ve obviously earned it!

…

Zenbadabing:
That’s not technically HTML.
It’s BBCode.
So you PHAIL.

wow weird deja vu of the ED results thread, good thing im in and dont have to worry about the anxiety of December 11

Why start so early? It’ll just get buried in the next month…

Isn’t it obvious? People are already accepted.

I know cals and those schools have already sent out acceptance letters but have people received any likelies from cas yet??

Accepted (OMG I Cannot Believe This)

[/ul]Subjective:[ul]
[] Essays: I like my essays a lot. Main commonapp one about professional wrestling, another about family heritage, and a third about my research interests and where I want to take them.
[] Teacher Rec #1: I didn’t read it. I assume it was good.
[] Teacher Rec #2: I didn’t read it. I assume it was good.
[] Additional Rec: Two research mentor recommendation letters from MIT Nuclear Engineering and Harvard SEAS professors. The MIT one was phenomenal. I didn’t read the Harvard one.
[] Counselor Rec: I didn’t read it. I assume it was crappy. I go to a massive school, and I barely know her, although we are on really friendly terms and I provided her with ample material for any sort of rec letter.
[] Hook (if any): Research is most definitely my hook.

[/ul]Location:[ul]

[] Work experience: Freelance PHP Programmer/Website developer

[/ul]Other Factors: A sweltering degree of awesomeness? I sent in my research abstracts, two mentor recs, a resume, presidential scholars candidate update, etc. Loads of supplementary material for them to judge. I have also self-taught myself around 7 programming languages and am fluent in French, proficient in German.

Why do you think you were accepted/rejected/waitlisted/offered guaranteed transfer: I think the research is what did it. Cornell loves my school and is fantastic for engineering, so I decided early on that Cornell would be my match school. I really fell in love with Cornell, but events since then have dragged me away from going to attend pristine Ithaca. I’ve gotten a Dartmouth likely and a MIT acceptance, both of which are closer to home so unfortunately I won’t be headed to Cornell this fall.

General Comments/Congratulations/etc: I wub you Cornell, but I’m going to MIT or Harvard. Maybe I’ll see ya guys in 4 years!

ACCEPTED ENGINEERING
