Haha, yeah...my friend's parents bought him a car because he got into Stanford. Two rewards!

even though you don't compose pieces (rats. *puts away money), you'd get in. seriously.

Hahaha thanks Jo.InC.

Yeah, you should sell your pieces :)

..................

anonamous, don't try to steal other people's threads! Jeez, you should know by now it's rude to do that. Make your own thread.

Yea, that really came out of nowhere.

.<" sorri dude... so offensive

anonamous, don't sweat it :). I've had other people make the same mistake.

aiite... sorri for my bad manners... i am what you would call a "newbie" to this thread :D

Haha, it's seriously no problem

Tchaikovsky: Sorry if it was a little confusing, but I don't play piano--only oboe and violin. (those competitions are for pieces I composed; other members play my pieces). But I still love piano music . It really depends on your ability, but if you're pretty advanced I would definetly recommend Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No.1 (check screen name hahha) or Prokofiev's Piano Concerto Nol. 3. Those are my favorite piano pieces .

r u my long lost twin- that is like my same musical talent. oboe and violin player with a love for the piano. im not joking. did u express that in your application? hope u did.

Haha, abike11, that's very cool! I talked about composing and playing oboe and other stuff in some of my essays.

oboe, violin and piano love is a rare combination like .9 in 100 trillion lol

I guess that means we're unique ;)

Any other comments?

what.. blush... is an oboe?

bleh. you're unique.

oboe = a wind instrument that looks kinda like a clarinet but harder to blow. a hot demand in orchestras since a ton more people play clarinets than oboes. lower in tone too.

it is double reeded instrument like a basson
