Cornell and Vandy are the two schools I really want to go to. I know they are good with financial aid and have good engineering programs. Vandy is the only school I've visited and I liked it a lot. Please chance me, if you leave a link with your post I'll chance back.

I would say that you’ve got a good shot at all of the schools you have listed. Of course, Cornell and Vandy are a little less predictable than the others, but I still think you’re a strong candidate.

Wow very good gpa and SAT score! Get good scores on the IIs and write really good essays… and get really good teacher recs. I believe you have a good chance at Cornell! Best of luck to you and chance me back! (:

UF - in
Purdue - safety/match
Illinois - match
Michigan - match/low reach
GA Tech - safety/match
Vanderbilt - low/mid reach
Cornell - low/mid reach

If you play up the first gen college student thing, it could really help you out. The really top schools (i.e. Vandy and Cornell) definitely have a thing for that. Your unweighted GPA is definitely a little on the low side for Cornell and Vandy, but you have shown that you’ve taken a rigorous course load, so that could make up for it in the end. But it’s honestly a total crapshoot at both those schools. Good luck!!

i think that you’ve got a very good chance at every school. obviously as others have said, Vanderbilt and Cornell would be more reaches. I would focus on writing a very strong essay, and doing very well on your SAT IIs. I wish you the best of luck…

I also loved Vanderbilt and am thinking ED, but ill have to see
