I have been accepted into Cal, NW, and Cornell, and I need some advise on which to choose. My criteria for choosing is 1. the best experience and 2. the best for my major of Political Science with an emphasis on foreign service. My views so far:

Berkeley: Pro's: college life, prestige, price. Con's: Huge student body
Northwestern: Pro's: Chicago, small student body. Con's: Color is purple, weird prestige
Cornell: Pro's: Ivy, nice campus, the color red. Con's: weird prestige, is it worth it to be so far from home?, huge student body

When I say weird prestige, I mean that they're prestigeous, but not always...

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know about Berkeley being MORE prestigious than Cornell or Northwestern, but it's definitely right up there with them. So honestly, if I were you, I'd choose Berkeley because of money.

money isn't really a big factor. It'll cost the same as the others with financial aid, so i'm mainly concerned with the major.

Oh, well in that case, Cornell, definitely. Better food.

what do you think about the major though?

Does Cornell really have weird prestige? I'm just curious.

Govt Dept. is TOP NOTCH... plus Cornell in Washington Program is added bonus... look carefully... lots of VERY interesting things going on at Cornell... if you're interested in public policy, see also course offerings in ILR and Human Ecology... you could build one very cool curriculum... Good luck!

Forget about prestige...all three are very presitgious. Go for fit. Where do you think you will be happiest? Vist the campuses if need be. They are completely different. And let me tell you, there is nothing weird about Cornell or Northwestern's prestige...at least not when you are conversing with learned individuals.

do you know which school might have the highest prestige as far as govt. goes?

Forget about prestige...all three are very presitgious

which one has the best govt. program. I want to go to a good grad school, so which should i choose?
