Cornell vs. USC Pre-Med

Hello everyone, I was recently admitted to both Cornell University and the University of Southern California. My plan is to study Neuroscience and eventually go to Medical School. USC gave me a scholarship and because I am from southern California, is much closer to home. Do you guys know anything special about either of the Pre-Med tracks that should sway my opinion? Right now, I am leaning more towards Cornell because of the Ivy name and the prestige of the school (not to mention the fantastic academics). What do you guys think?

Won’t matter for medical school admissions. How much is the difference in COA? I would be wary about taking out large loans for undergrad if you want to go to medical school

Unless you are super rich and the difference in cost is negligible, go with USC.

My dad told me long ago it is not where you go but how you do. There is lots of truth in that. Also pre med/med school is an expensive track and then you have years of training with very low salary to compensate you for it :). I would do USC and save the money for med school. It also does not matter at most places what you major in to go to med school. My sister was a psychology major as that was what the athletes took:) She figured she was taking hard enough classes in her pre med stuff. She got into her first choice med school with no problem
