Im an international student in Vietnam, you guys won't believe it but the test conditions here are horrible.
First, we didnt have enough time to do the verbal section, not because it was hard, but due to the wrong analog clock or maybe a bad intention of the Institute of International Education (IIE) to prevent Vietnamese students to go abroad.

The first section we got only 27 minutes, and that's not all, the fax machine rang like it'd never rung before !!! Then it started printing for a short time which was quite annoying. It distracted my thought so much !!!

The third section was a true nightmare, the test administrator cut off 5 minutes from the 30 minute section, saying that we had only 1 minutes left !!! What race of human was that ? What race of human that has no dignity ??? I want to cleave her to minute bits of flesh !!!

This is kind of a tangent but how is it that students in other countries get to take our tests, but we can't take theirs? What if I want to go study in, say, England? I don't think they offer the GCSE's or any of those tests here.

Snuff, thanks for the link. Unfortunately for us, the test administrator IS the proctor !!! And you probably don't take the bureaucratic nature of the communist into account, if I'd complained a word, I might have been kicked out of the room just like what they did to a guy back in March 12th, TOEFL exam.

My sympathies to you! I have taken for granted many times things that as an American I never have to worry about. Good luck sorting out your mess!! Also if your score does not turn out what you think you could have scored, I would explain in your college applications your unique circumstance.

Thanks man, Ill take it again this December in a completely communist-free location (United Nations International School) :) I've sent a complaint to the Collegeboard, let's wait and see what they can do. God I hate this damn country, my place's in the US not Vietnam !!!

That's terrible. I can't believe someone would do such a thing! Hopefully collegeboard will do something. I don't suppose you know who proctored the test, did you, and could put that in your report?

You wouldn't believe how common this is, especially in the crappier areas. I've had a lot of bad luck with testing centers. I always hope to get my school as the center, but it never happens.
