Did anyone get a rejection email or does not recieving an email mean a rejection?

my “why i want to do this cluster essay”: wrote about how i met a little boy with tay-sachs when i was younger, kept in touch with him, and how it inspired me and why i want to pursue genetics in my future
my personal statement: wrote about how i got stuck during a usaco contest and didn’t finish
@cupcakequeen99 I have been wondering that too. I guess it just depends on how many already accepted students get out of the program and how far you are on the waiting list

I read somewhere that 2% of applicants get on the waitlist.
