<p>I dont think anyone can answer that for you. It is not going to be something stated in a policy anywhere and you would be hard pressed to find someone with extreme views who could truly be objective or willing to embrace an opposing view if, all other were factors the same.</p>
<p>I feel that a liberal adcoms main concern would be social conservatism. Fiscal conservatism most people can respect and many otherwise liberal schools like UChicago have huge fiscally conservative communities. Focus on that part of conservatism and I don’t think it can hurt you.</p>
<p>Two identical applicants but one gets an advantage for being a member of a (perceived) minority group…</p>

<p>It’s not necessarily affirmative action, because it’s a choice to be liberal and a choice to be conservative.</p>
