<p>Yeah...is this true? Suppose I were in a republican and I wanted to apply to a really liberal school, would this hur tmy chances? Im not really interested in a school that wouldn't accept me bc of my views anyway, but jw.</p>

Now is that such a bad thing? Just kidding.
I don't think it would hurt your chance one bit. However, it wouldn't help either. Some people change political party like baby changes diaper. Associating yourself with any political group shouldn't hurt your chance, with perhaps the Taliban being the exception (probably helps it too).</p>
