could grinnell be my safety?

<p>Now that you've posted identifiable information and mentioned that Grinnell may be your safety, admissions will probably reject or waitlist you (in an effort to lower their admittance rate). They do read the boards.</p>

<p>they have thousands of applications...and mine isn't so extraordinary that they'd recognize it right away...you know how long it would take to sift through all the applications to find mine?</p>

<p>Not very -- only need to look at applications from New York. Since admissions offices tend to be organized by geographic region, I bet it would only take a few minutes.</p>

<p>More to the point, if you decide to apply to Grinnell, it should be because you like what the school has to offer and feel you can offer something back. There are plenty of places that would admit a student with your qualifications.</p>
