Could I get into Umass commonwealth honors college

Hello, I am a senior at a public school in Massachusetts, and the honors college program at Umass Amherst has really got my attention. I would love to go here as it is close to home and has an amazing marching band, something very important to me in my college search, and the academics are state of the art.
Anyways, here are my stats:
UW gpa- 3.91
School weighted gpa- 4.45
Umass weighted gpa- 4.5
Class rank: 7/216
Highest composite SAT: 1370 (did send due to my 22/24 essay).
Highest composite ACT: 32 (did send, although writing is only 8/12)
APs: 3 my junior year, Biology (4), Lang&comp (4), APUSH (3). I am currently taking 4 this year- calculus AB, Phys 1, Psych, and Euro.
My classes have all been honors or AP junior year on, and out of the 32 classes I’ve taken only about 4-5 have been college prep/ non honors.
My letters of recommendation were very glowing, one from one of my favorite teachers who is a umass alumni.
Essay- I think it is very strong, it demonstrated growth and was supported by aforementioned teacher’s rec
EC’s- 3 season athlete, all varsity this year and last year, and I’m captain of my gymnastics team. I am first chair trumpet in my school’s wind ensemble, jazz band, and marching band as well. I volunteer at my local animal shelter on weekends and I work as a lifeguard some weekdays after school. I also am a member of my school’s chapter of the national honors society and the tri-m music honors society.

I don’t ever do these chance me threads, but the CHC doesn’t actually have any official statistics so I have no idea where I stand in relation to other top students… hopefully you guys can give me some insight! Please respond. Thank you

From what I have come across and a tour, I believe the average weighted gpa is a 4.2 and avg SAT is around a 1360. They also said they take a very holistic approach to viewing applicants for the honors college so I would say you have a great shot! Hoping to get in myself

My daughter got in 2 years ago. She is now a sophomore at Isenberg and CHC and loving it. She had a 3.7uw, 4.1w and SAT 1330 (CR + M). She was about 12/225 in her class.

I know it has gotten more competitive each year but I think you have a great shot at getting in! Good luck!

Thank you you so much for replying! That makes me feel a lot better

Even if you are not immediately admitted to the Honors College you can apply after your first semester. My daughter, now a sophomore, did that and was accepted.
