Could I get into UPenn?

Okay so here is some background information about me. I am a US Citizen (Residency status In Texas) living in India. I’m currently taking the A-Levels system and am just starting my last year of high school. My plan is to become a doctor so I will be taking the Pre-Med Track and would like to major in Biochemistry and molecular biology.

Not sure if I would even be considered seeing some of the kids on this chance me forum but I’m just looking to see if I’m somewhere In the ball park. Thanks

  • Moved to India from Dubai alone not knowing any Hindi whatsoever, and had to survive for 5 months before my Parents finally closed up their business in Dubai and moved here. Because of this I also started school about 2 months late due to the school year differences between India in Dubai. (India breaks for vacation in March whilst Dubai finishes around July)

@CoolTurtles your profile is competitive for sure, but of course there will be many many kids with similar or better stats/ more impressive achievements applying. If Penn is your first choice I would suggest applying ED. ED would increase your chances a bit.

@Penn95 Okay thanks, I know with Ivy League schools its very competitive and that highly qualified students are rejected each year so i’m hoping that the odds will be in my favor. I’m not sure about ED considering if I get in the financial side of things would be a whole different story and may prevent me from going and I’ve heard that getting accepted ED and not going is basically sin. Thanks

If you don’t get the financial aid package you need with an ED acceptance you can get out of it
