Could sending a beneficial ACT help me after my deferral?

Here is my ACT breakdown (from two tests):

33 (Composite)

35 (English)

34 (Math)

30 (Reading)

33 (Science)

However, I got a 32 on the October ACT Reading section, I did not send it in because my overall composite was lower than before (I got a 31 on the October one.)

If I send this test in so that my superscore becomes a 34, how much help would this be to me?

In my opinion, the slight point bump you may get is only marginal, but following up with them shows your interest in the school, which admissions may focus more on. I don’t think it would hurt if you sent it in, but if you’re able to, try to spin it so it appears that you’re sending it in because of how much you desire to attend the university

@ChiGuy123 So would an email to my admissions counselor, first thanking her and the committee for reviewing my application, and then asking/notifying her about the score send, be a good idea?

I would definitely send it. Deferral just means you are put in the regular admissions group and it would be definitely goo to share significant improvements.

@STEMGuy2323 Yes, thank admissions and I would even suggest explicitly saying that you’re very interested in the school, so would like to update your application to reflect your most current academic standing. Something like that.

But only say that Case is your first choice if Case is your first choice, and why.

@bopper I actually sent them an email the day before the 19th, telling them my reasons for why Case is my first choice.
