It forces all concerned to defend old ideas and decisions and to consider new ones. Sometimes it can even correct old errors in thought and put an end to wrong actions.</p>

<p>Assignment: Is it important to question the ideas and decisions of people in positions of authority? Plan and write an essay in which you develop your point of view on this issue. Support your position with reasoning and examples taken from your reading, studies, experience, or observations.</p>

<p>During the scientific revolution, Galileo Galilei, the father of modern science, established several theories like the discovery of the Galilean moons of Jupiter and the phases of Venus which proved that Earth isn’t the centre of the universe ,however; his beliefs contradicted the church’s beliefs. As a result, the church’s officials convicted him of heresey and was forced to live his remaining years under house arrest. Despite that, Galileo Galilei is fundamentally responsible of what we know about modern science today.</p>

<p>As a result, I believe we should stand for ourselves and prevent the bigger authorities form besieging our minds with their restrained forms.</p>
