Could you reveal the secret of the optional photo?

On the online Penn app you can upload a photo but anyway for the form here is the address
<a href="https://app.applyyourself.com/_FileRoot/Clnt-151/Mod-246/Pkg-384/prod/PrintForms/Cert_form_2007.pdf%5B/url%5D">https://app.applyyourself.com/_FileRoot/Clnt-151/Mod-246/Pkg-384/prod/PrintForms/Cert_form_2007.pdf</a></p>

the link looks like this
Applicants must return a signed Certification Form.

Does the form also need to be postmarked by Jan 1?

i would do it to be safe

Hmmm. I dont really know. I bet subconsciously it would slightly affect things depending on how good looking you are.

But really, I bet the picture is to help avoid adcom members thinking of people as just numbers and words; actually humanize them.

If you did the common app, do you still need to hand in that form in the link above?

wait, are you guys sure about the signature form?

i applied RD and didn't turn in the form. still got the green postcard saying that the office has received everything they need.

i would call and ask just in case

Who will suck it up and call? Could that person post the answer here, :-D?

They are on Winter Break, you know...

wait... so have we determined whether or not there's a way to submit a photo if we are applying using common app?

Since it seems like the Common App applicants don't have the opportunity to send in a signature form, how do we mail in our picture? What are the requirements? Do we need to include our name, date, social security number, address, etc? Do we need to title it on an 8.5 x 11? How big is the picture? Any ideas?

Okay, so can we just clear this up. If you apply via the Penn app, then you have to submit the sig form? Why would that be, though? If you apply via commonapp online, you can only type your name and that's exactly what we had to do, too. This is weird

Who cares, all i want to know is how to submit your pic through commonapp. penn says through mail, so i'm not sure

we e-mail the pic with common app, but where do we find the email address?

oh really? i see i see, i think you email to the school's address, but i'm not completely sure.

why is the picture so important? if it takes this much extra freaking out...just don't submit a picture.

oh noes, I just realized that the post office closes in an hour and won't open til Tuesday. do you a late-postmarked picture will matter? I sent my app in already but completely glossed over the picture part. GAH!

You probably wont be accepted because you couldnt send them your picture.

suppasonic is right. good luck at your other schools.

can we put the school's physical address in our e-mails and sent them?
