Counselor sending recommendation by mail?

So my guidance counselor told me that my school will only let him submit my recommendation for the common app by sending it by mail rather than online. So do I still need to invite my guidance counselor where it says Invite Officials and then choose for him to send it by mail or do I simply print out the guidance counselor form and give it to him without inviting him on the Common App website?

I’m not sure but I think your counselor is able to set his/her preference inside the common app to “mail only”. Otherwise, I suggest you email the common app and see if you should still “invite” the counselor on line.

Lakemon is right… Counselors have the option to choose and send the common app through snail mail. When you invite them onto the common app they send an email telling them they can choose to either accept and do it online, accept and do it through mail or just plain deny.
