2100!!! Right on the dot, exactly what I aimed for

1410/1600, I was hoping for 1400+ :)

<a href=“ImageShack - Best place for all of your image hosting and image sharing needs”>ImageShack - Best place for all of your image hosting and image sharing needs;

I went up from the following in march:

M: 570
R: 600
W: 630

Btw, how do I get ALL my scores to show up in the score report instead of just the june one?

It does say check back, but your essay is still scored. It has to be, otherwise, you wouldn’t have gotten your score yet at all, (it is factored into your writing score). You need to log out. Log back in and click on view and send scores. If you are on the main page, it will say check back.

Good luck! I hope this works!

2210!

800 CR
680 M
730 W

Superscored = 2250

It’s also great to be a recruited athlete :)

710 on reading! so happy haha
600 on math

im gonna take it again to try to raise my math to around 690

okay so what happens if my score went down (like, REALLY down) from my previous test? I’m planning to apply to schools that just so happens to NOT accept score choice (■■■).

Come to think of it, i should have either not taken the june SAT or just canceled my test afterwards, but i was just so averse to the idea of studying for the fall SAT over the summer that i just ignored the condition i was in and waited for my score to come (just to let you guys know, i had three final papers due on the same exact week: english on wednesday, u.s. history on thursday, and ap french on friday, each of them well over 6 pages. consequently, i was not in my best shape after pulling multiple all-nighters. uggh).

my january SAT (my first test) was actually okay: 2170. i simply thought that, since most people seem to improve about 100 pts on their second try, i could do the same and be forever done with it. instead, my june SAT score was below 2000. ive never been so depressed and embarassed in my entire life as i am right now. if only the order of the two tests were reversed, my transcript would look so much better… but alas…

SO, my main question is, are my chances of getting into ivy league colleges permanently gone since my SAT score has not improved, but declined from january to june? plus, you know how some colleges without score choice still claim that they will focus on the highest scores out of all your tests provided? is it possible that colleges will overlook my test dates and just look at my 2170 score?

i feel like SUCH an idiot. how could this have happened?

^ Sorry to hear about that. If I were you I would take the test a third time just to show them the June one was a fluke… and aim for 2300+ :)

Go to your high school’s registrar office and tell them you want to remove the lower score(s) from your transcript. Once, they are remove from school transcript no one will ever see them unless you request college board to send those scores to a particular school.

Do schools really do that for you? Won’t they be suspicious or anything? Also, am i allowed to do that even for non-score-choice schools? i thought i had to send all of my tests and their scores… im confused

No. If a school doesn’t accept score choice, then you must send all test scores.

**** ,I will have to wait another 8 days until 6th July my scores ;[[

i thought so.

holy **** eg2333, that was the same exact score i got in jan!!! 670 CR 690 W 740 M with a 9 essay!!!

The confusion here is that there is a distinction between what appears on your official school transcript and the scores you have reported to the schools. If a school has elected to “opt out” of the Score Choice provision (i.e. Stanford) you are expected to instruct College Board etc. to send all your scores. If a school allows Score Choice(most of them) you are free to send only your best scores. Now, if your official transcript doesn’t match the scores you send, you’re busted. So, it’s best, I think, to have your transcript reflect only your best scores so that for schools for which you elect to use Score Choice, you don’t show your lesser scores on the transcript and negate this feature. For schools like Stanford, where you are expected to send all your scores, there will be scores sent by College Board that won’t appear on your transcript and you’ll get the added bonus of demonstrating your honesty by sending the full report.

That’s a good point, tokdoc; however, most high schools don’t put standardized test scores on their transcripts (per College Board’s recommendations [Score Choice - New SAT Score-Reporting Policy](Send SAT Scores to Colleges - SAT Suite | College Board)).

Apple-It would seem that College Board would have way too much of a vested interest in recommending that schools don’t include the test scores on transcripts, since that’s how College Board makes money. I’m wondering how many schools actually comply. Our school lists all standardized test scores along with the student’s class rank. I’m betting that many (if not most) schools report that way and I think a lot of students who try to use Score Choice for “opt out” schools will get tripped up this way.

My school doesn’t list standardized test scores on transcipts. The thing is, even if your school does include test scores on your transcript, you’ll still have to send your scores via College Board (and pay anyway) because scores listed on your transcript are not official. Thus, it’s to your advantage to not have test scores on your transcript so you can take advantage of score choice (only if the school accepts it). Having scores on your transcript offers no tangible benefit.

I think you’re wrong on this one:

[Are SAT Scores on Transcripts Mandatory in NJ? - Ask The Dean](http://www.collegeconfidential.com/dean/archives/are-sat-scores-on-transcripts-mandatory-in-nj.htm)

Many high schools choose to put the SAT (or ACT) scores on their transcripts in order to maintain all student records in one place for their convenience, to expedite the receipt of scores in admission offices, and to enable students to avoid paying unnecessary fees to the College Board, since many colleges will accept transcript SAT’s as “official.” On the other hand, some high schools refuse to put test results on transcripts, claiming that it a violation of privacy and that students have the right to determine who will see their scores.

That’s interesting, but I’ve never heard of a university accepting transcript scores in place of scores sent by College Board. Maybe they’ll place more weight in these scores over self-reported scores or use them as an interim metric until scores can be sent from the testing agency, but I highly doubt they’ll offer admission based on transcript scores.

Apple-Are you basing your opinion on anything more solid than what I posted from Ask The Dean? If not, you might be doing readers a disservice here. We need facts! I think I’ll call a couple of university admissions offices tomorrow to verify. Please feel free to do the same so we can compare results. In either case, the real shocker will be when people try to use Score Choice for “opt out” schools and get caught based on their transcript not jiving with the College Board report. So, maybe we helped some to avoid that.
