I’m shy so I want a roommate. I’m really good at getting along with other people, even those who are complete opposites of me. I hope I don’t get a roommate that gets really homesick. That would make me even more homesick which would suck.

oh okay. i went away to sleepaway camp and one time i was alone which made me get really homesick but then when i had a roommate i didnt get as homesick.

18 days till st. paul’s!!!

13 days till Exeter. All my friends started school today. Its starting to sink in that I’m leaving.

I leave tomorrow for NMH

I leave in 9 days :D

Good luck everyone! You’ll have to make a first impressions thread for us and tell us about your experiences.

Ooh, awesome idea, 2010 hopeful Let’s hope our impressions aren’t too biased/infused with OMG THIS IS AMAZING!!!11…haha.

This is going to be a long 12 days. I’m flying in 10 days so I can at least see the school before orientation.

@2010: I’ll make sure to update on CC as soon as I can, hopefully with all the homework and ECs it will be sometime before Thanksgiving Break…:D

I’m leaving for Groton on the 11th of September. When you are at school do you text your parents between breaks or do you call them? I’m asking because my current plan only has 300 messages per month, but I was thinking about getting unlimited text messaging with a new phone (by the way, I have T-Mobile :[).

Do you think Hurricane Earl will have any affect on the registration and orientation at all these northeast boarding schools?

Only the Atlantic School of Surfing is closed. :D

i dont think the hurricane will have a big effect for northeast schools. there is just supposed to be rain and i think it is only supposed to be a 2 by the time it reaches there

It will likely be a rainy registration, much like the revisit days of March & April.

I am actually just waiting for the hurricane to come. It will help cool down the 90 degree weather we’ve been having. In my public school it is basically 100 degrees in each classroom. Everyone is just sitting there forming puddles of sweat on their desks (extraggeration). Its impossible to focus on academics when its like a sauna in there…

I am so excited to be a sophomore at Suffield Academy, btw its an amazing place and my first time at boarding school? Any advice for me
PS: i leave in 4 days for preseason

Just got to Boston 2 more days :)

Leaving tuesday for preseason at Exeter, I’m so nervous!!!

Preseason in what, Gabi?

Field hockey!
