Countdown to Decision Day... 3, 2, 1...

I so agree with you!!! a day makes a hell of difference, it is the difference between mental stability and incurable insanity!! hahahaha.

They can’t change it! I already have my countdown set up on my apple dashboard! 29 days, 19 hours, 17 minutes.

guys, chill out xP go make a smoothie or something!

speaking of smoothies, mango a go go from jamba juice is actually amazing. I made one the other day and it was awesome:

1 Cup passion fruit / mango juice
1 Cup pineapple sherbet
1 1/2 Cups frozen mango
1/2 Cup ice

:)

tangent over

I am so relieved, I just got a “likely Letter” (not the althletic kind) through the post. Unfortunately I am traveling and did not find out until three days later. I am ecstatic. Good luck to all of you.

^^ But of course you can relax! You already got into Yale.

I should be happy though, with my EA acceptances. I fear rescindment.

CONGRATS! What do you think they liked about you?

Very interesting stuff in this thread.

Fuzzyfirebunny ~ thanks for the recipe! My daughter is healing from a broken jaw and this will be a new smoothie to try. Her count down has a few more dates:

March 15th - jaw freed from metal brackets and orthodontic bands
March 17th - Florida State decision
March 20th - UNC Chapel Hill decision (hopefully date not delayed like early decision)
March 31st/April 1st - Wake Forest, Stanford and Harvard
April 2nd - leave for 8 day Eastern Caribbean Cruise

She said the cruise will help diminish any disappointment received April 1st.

Good luck to everyone.

29 days 2 hours 14 minutes remaining

This is making me so miserable.

@Mom- Hope your D gets well soon :)

Just thought I would relay a nerve wracking/happy ending story…on March 30, 2008, D had heard from all her schools except Harvard. To put it mildly, she wasn’t all that excited about her choices at the time. She never received an e-mail either way from Harvard, and assumed rejection. We hopped on a plane early the next morning for Blue Devil Days at Duke, and arrived home to a waitlist letter from Harvard; she was accepted to Harvard in early May. Key learning…don’t assume…call if you don’t receive an e-mail. D loves Harvard, but with greater maturity, now realizes she would have loved any of the other schools also. Good luck to everyone.

^Very cool posting, Justchecking. Thanks for sharing!

@NCDanceMom, hope you’re D gets well soon too. And what an exciting month she has ahead of her. My S finds out from all his colleges on March 31st and April 1st. Praying…

so what are everyone’s safeties? mines pitt rite now.

mine is rollins college & colorado school of mines.
plus im accepted to emory but thats more of a match :)

@ Mom: Wowww, I’m glad my random tangent WAS actually useful! Haha  I hope your daughter gets better soon- broken jaws are no fun :(

So Harvard’s is March 31 for sure, right? Nothing like Stanford early where they randomly released decisions a few days before they were supposed to? ;)

lol I should have known better than to say a day or two won’t make much difference on this thread.

Best of luck guys.

Dude, I’m totally nervous. I think I’m going to re-join the swim team to calm my nerves or something. Better than the alternative somebody told me - they want to put themselves into a medically induced coma. I wasn’t sure if I should have laughed or not.

^ omg can you do that? I’m totally up for an induced comma!!! hahaha, Thank you, your comment made me laugh!!
