countdown

Hmm.........

Only 12 days left!
Let's keep this bumped as the official countdown, at least until someone makes a cooler one.

haha no problem

This one is plenty cool.

The Stanford app is soooo stressful. It's my 4th app though.

I applied to UC 2 minutes before the due date...talk about last minute!

But yeah, I am making that countdown my homepage, so I can get my procrastinating arse to work before I end pulling off another submission at 11:58 PM PST....(3 am for me though...extra time!)

I read that emails are only sent to applicants living outside the US. Those in the US have to wait for the actual letter. EEK.

yeah, that's what I read on the Stanford uga site as well - haven't found any information stating that they'll email all decisions. o.O

...I guess we'll find out on the 15th if we've gotten e-mails...I still wish my letter would come on the 12th like some last year I think...too bad I don't live like across the street haha.

Does Stanford sent priority mails for people who got accepted?

I have no clue...I hope not. I HATE that "everyone else got their acceptance letter already" feeling

^ Me too...

ya it makes me feels all doomed...I figure if they're not gonna send everything on the same day, they should send rejections first. I mean if I was gonna be rejected, at least I wouldnt have to wait longer!

I suggest they hold some sort of rowdy war-dance ceremony outside the admission office at 12 midnight and we'll fly over there to hear the decisions ^_^, like being initiated into some ancient cult. there'll be lots of drama and anticipation, like waiting for New Year. wheeee.

Yeah maybe some of the people who get rejected will start a riot and torch the admissions building. Serves them right.

tough luck. isn't Stanford the most heartless of all early-action schools by rejecting 50% outright? yale rejects 33% and people are moping, pointing out that harvard and princeton only rejects 5%.

but then, it'll really. really. stink. to be one of those 5% - imaging explaining that to overexpectant parents and friends and classmates. >.<

well in a way, it's nicer. If they're gonna reject you regular they might as well tell you now...afraid afraid

I'm watching the blair witch project now. should I be afraid?

But if you get rejected regular, people who think you are such a dumb***

Purrli, I hope you don’t take this personally, but

I hate that movie!

er I don't think they will...everyone knows it's risky at schools like stanford... these people at my school with great stats got rejected/waitlisted last year...so no worries!
I've never seen it before...don't plan on it. I want to see Pride and Prejudice...haha ya i kno.
