Couple Questions

Alright, I took four basic courses this semester at a local university instead of one of the set engineering schedules because I'll be transferring in the spring.

I want to do something in engineering, but I honestly have no clue as to what. Originally I thought about doing something in computer science because I really enjoy video games (more than just playing). I like to figure out why things happen in them especially when it comes to math calculations and other theories. But I heard comp science is incredibly hard, and I'm not sure if I'm smart enough. It would be awesome if I could find a field that deals with games, but it just seems unpractical.

Do you guys have any thoughts or suggestions for courses similar to Computer Science that I could look into? I like the sciences too, so stuff like Chemical Engineering has sparked my interest. But I've heard that stuff is just as difficult. I'm not trying to be lazy or avoid hard stuff, I just don't know if I'm intelligent enough.

Almost any engineering field is going to be tough, but you're right in that computer science and chemical engineering are particularly difficult. Honestly, if you want to get into programming games and all that, there's no better choice than comp sci. Don't doubt your intelligence -- just do what you love to do and try your best! :)

computer science is different from computer engineering. Its easier since its not in the engineering department usually.

Engineering (of any kind) is tough stuff and being smart will definitely help you. Nevertheless, the minimum requirement to do well in engineering does not include being smart. If you consider yourself less smart then you just have to make up for it by working as hard as needed.
