Course Registration for Transfers

Hi, recently admitted transfer student here! I just took a look at the available courses for Fall 2018, but it seems like all (I mean, like, all) of the courses I would like to take are completely filled (I’m a business major btw). Transfers sign up for courses at orientation and I would like to plan my courses ahead, but how will I possibly get to take the courses I want if they are already full?

They typically open spots just for transfers  I was able to get into every single class I wanted (and I mean every single one) :stuck_out_tongue: It may not be at the time you want, but you’re likely going to be able to enroll in a lot of the classes you have in mind. I know this makes planning a tad difficult though, but I wound up with the perfect schedule in the end.

For instance, both sections of LING 115 are currently full at 50 students. However, this class usually has around 120 students. This means that over 70 spots are going to open for newly admitted students. I’m not too familiar with the business school offerings, but there should definitely be a few spots set aside just for you transfers. I’m also lowkey recommending this course if you’re in need of a GE to complete as part of the mandatory two you need to complete at USC :stuck_out_tongue:
