My unweighted GPA is an 87.1 on a 100 scale. However, throughout I've taken all honors classes and 2 AP classes. Do colleges take course rigor into consideration when they see a B+ GPA like mine??

Yes, colleges do look at the rigor of the classes that students take. They compare to what the school the student goes to offers, and based on that they figure up whether or not you have been challenging yourself.

They consider rigor but a B+ GPA with only 2 APs isn’t very impressive…

sorry for being an @$$… but that doesn’t seem too impressive… maybe if you said all honors and 5 aps, then ok. but… 2 aps? comon man. drop some honors, take some, but leave some regular courses, like take 1 honor and 1/2 aps a year starting from junior year. but… your rigor… isn’t that great.

Before everyone blasts the OP, perhaps we should know how many AP classes are offered at your school and when you are allowed to take those classes. Every school has its own policy and limitations on AP to courses.

To the OP, course rigor is an important part of how you are evaluated. The main question is are you challenging yourself? If your school only offers 2 AP courses, then it would appear that you are. However, if you could be taking more AP courses, then 2 may not convey to anyone that you were really challenging yourself.
