This is my current schedule for next year, my junior year-

honors British Literature
honors Chemistry
AP Macroeconomics (semester class)
AP Govt/Politics (semester class)
AP Calc B/C
AP Studio Art
honors German IV
and one off hour

I REALLY want to take AP Physics next year too, but I feel like that might be too much. I wouldn't have a study hall at all, so I wouldn't have time to go in and get help unless it was before or after school. However, I'm not sure if it would be doable-

here is my schedule from this year (my sophomore year)

honors American Lit
German III
AP Calc A/B
AP US History
Ceramics I (first semester)
study hall (first semester)
Art III (second semester)
Art Metals I (second semester)
honors Biology

APUSH, with its tonnns of homework, is going really well and I'm managing without a study hall this semester- do you think my homework load would be more or less my junior year? I would have no study halls if i took AP Physics.

well, it really depends on how intense your AP classes are going to be.

In reality you will have 3 AP per semester since economics and politics switch
So, you should find out how demanding AP studio art, calc b/c, and honors chem are.
From my experience, honors chem and ap calc are demanding while studio art is not.

But so long as you can deal with having no study hall, DO NOT have a lot going on outside of school (cannot emphasize that enough), and know that studio art is not that bad while chem and calc are doable, them go for physics

I’m not worried about calc, because I am very good at math, and not worried about studio art, because I really enjoy art and don’t mind working out of school, it’s the gov/Econ and physics that I believe will be tough. I’ve heard that gov is a breeze but Econ is extremely hard. Honors chem will be a new class at my school, since we only had regular and ap before. I’m not worried about chem though. Also, I am onvolved in a LOT outside of school- swim team, synchronized swim team, key club, student government, the school newspaper, art club, and next year I will be involved with ace which is a group that helps at like freshman orientation as well as national honors society. However, I am managing now with my classes and all my after school things, so I think I’ll be able to do it next year… Hopefully.

Well regardless, junior year is gonna be demanding with SAT/ACT/SAT subject tests to study in addition to your current ECs and planned APs.

But I do agree that physics is a demanding course, and based on the demands of your set plans, I honestly do not think it would be best to not take Physics and just hold off till senior year or just hold off with chem until senior year if you really want physics that bad.
