COVID-19 hitting too close to home?

So sorry for your loss and the additional pain from the circumstances, @Singersmom07.

My deepest sympathy, @Singersmom07. I hope your happy memories will bring you and your family comfort. ((HUGS))

I’m sorry @Singersmom07 , esp with the lies told making your family think they were safe.

How frustrating. Anger seems appropriate. I wish you well during this difficult time

@Singersmom07 my deepest sympathies! Such a difficult way to lose your mother.

@Singersmom07 I’m so sorry for your loss.

D’s COVID test came back negative. I’m not surprised but still relieved. And it made her feel a lot better, so it was worth it.

I am so very sorry for your loss, @Singersmom07 . I am sure your sorrow is mixed with a lot of other feelings right now. My condolences.

@Singersmom07 So very sorry for your loss.

A story about a Florida man whose 46 year old wife died from it after they both believed it was a hoax or mild ailment is currently the most read story on BBC:

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-53892856

It’s sad, because she had health issues too making it more dangerous for her - but they read on the net that it wasn’t a problem.

In my youth we were told it was the lack of education that hurt people. Now it seems it isn’t really that. All sorts of educational information is out there for anyone with internet access. It’s the lack of being able to discern good/bad information. I don’t know how to fix that.

My condolences, @Singersmom07 .

So sorry, @Singersmom07 . Do any of them understand now that causes and how to manage this disease (correctly- not giving a fragile 95 year old a controversial treatment)???

I’m so very sorry @Singersmom07

@Singersmom07 I’m sorry for your loss. May her memory be a blessing.

I’m very sorry, @Singersmom07.

Thanks everyone. No matter what we tried to say, my brother lives in GA and believed as Gov said that at risk people should just stay home so everyone else could get back to life. They did but one of those other people brought the virus into the house. Hospice was great by the way since she was no way going to the hospital. They managed the symptoms and she was at peace.

@Singersmom07 Wow, just wow. Thanks for sharing.

 That is a blessing.

You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers, @Singersmom07.

Where in GA are they, @Singersmom07 ?

I found out this weekend that my SIL, a retail store pharmacist in Georgia, is getting only a paper mask for PPE. I just can’t even…

@Singersmom07, I’ve been hearing horror stories from family members in GA. Open hostility in rural NW counties about asking customers to wear masks, to wear them themselves, and lack of sanitation procedures at employers.

I’m glad your mom was at peace in hospice. So sorry the virus invaded your family.
