CP GPA for OOS - Do My High School's Honors Classes Count?

So, I know that UC schools don’t give extra points for OOS kids’ honors classes (except AP/IB) on their GPA, which essentially kills my chances there, but how about SLO? Their website states “honors points granted for courses designated as “honors,” “college,” “advanced placement” or “international baccalaureate” on a high school transcript, for up to eight semesters." This makes it sound like if it says honors, they’ll give you points for it. Anyone here know if this is true? Thanks.

Same as UC’s. They need to be UC approved Honors classes. The CSU GPA is the same as the UC GPA calculation except SLO uses 9th gredes in the calculation with 8 semester honors points cap.

Ok. I also heard that they do take 8th grade high school level courses (I took Algebra 1, Earth Science, and Spanish 1 in 8th). Do you know anything about that?

They give you credit for having taken those courses in math and foreign language that are minimal requirements for admission. They only care that you passed with a grade of C or better. They aren’t going to include this grade in your GPA calculation.
