Hello,

So I am currently in a dilemma and would appreciate any advice I can get. I recently graduated with a BS in Accounting and am planning on doing the whole Masters in Acct and CPA track. I've already gotten into grad school for accounting for this fall, however, I'm not sure if I should defer for a year or not.

I decided to do the CPA track late compared to others so I didn't end up getting an accounting internship for my senior year. I was hoping to find one for this summer but its been unsuccessful so far since most positions are already filled from spring recruiting/haven't had luck at other companies. I've also been trying to find an accounting internship for during the academic year but I haven't heard back from anything yet. In order for me to go to grad school for my masters, I am going to have to take out about $25,000 in student loans and I already have $20,000 from undergrad.

So I'm not sure if I should defer grad school for year in order to gain actual experience in the accounting field/make some money first/maybe apply to additional schools with better financial aid or if I should just go to grad school in the fall since I've already been accepted. My goal is to work for a big 4 so I'm not sure which path to take in order to get there.

If anyone has any advice or suggestions or experience I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
