Bad planning. My kid (accepted EA) really wanted to go to CPW, but he can't miss the robotics finals. He can't be the only kid in this predicament.

No conflicts with robotics club here (that I know of anyway. I ought to be a more organized secretary) but it does conflict with HOSA state competition and, after making nationals last year, I'm quite hesitant to skip state in favor of CPW...

When is CPW weekend, TARC is in late may

CPW is April 12 - 15. The conflict is with the FIRST Robotics nationals. I think every high school robotics team would be doing this one - or wanting to!

and conflicts with Coca Cola as well.

I have this conflict, idk what to do.

Conflict with Southern California State Science Olympiad :(

that sucks that you guys have conflicts. I am so excited for CPW! I'll see you guys in the fall! :D

For what it's worth, I didn't attend CPW (it conflicted with state finals for my winter guard). I went to visit MIT about two weeks later, and still had a great time and decided to come.

CPW is a great time to come because you can meet other prefrosh, learn about the different departments and UROPs available, and check out booths for all of the sports and activities. But if you just want to learn about the people at MIT, it's totally okay to come some other time.

Yeah, you can always go to CPW the years you're actually on campus, I guess! WOO foam!

I didn't go to CPW either and had no problem meeting people during orientation. The fact is that every weekend in the spring of senior year is busy and no weekend will work for everyone.

I look forward to meeting all of you that come and to the rest, hopefully I'll see you in the fall.

its the same weekend as prom for my school (waaaaay to early) so i'm flying in thurday leaving at like 6 AM saturday morning to be back in texas saturday afternoon
