I got a test with 2 35Q Writing Sections, so I think that all my CR were actual sections... Anyways..
Passages
P1 - Lion & P2 - How humans don't like to be reminded they are prey (?)
Q - "the cat doesn't rent, he owns" or something like that
P1 - Eleanor and the Dinosaurs & P2 - curator something....
Q - the one about how would the curator react about the thing about the narrator of passage 1's experience... the one that was like "researchers believe that ..... dinosaurs .... teenagers)
Q - one with the A - something - saurus... I think I put bewilderement
P - Indian programmer
Q - second one, that followed him talking about races (i put rich diversity for that one)

She seemed pretty confused and cranky to me. They did change then name of her favorite dinosaur, and she was like WT*

^ she was bewildered/shocked to see how much science has changed

Was one of the vocab answers "pastoral"? It was about hills and a river, I was debating with that and some other word (maybe "transient", cant remember)

i said she would react: expected, considering how museums set up their exhibitions

and she would think that dinosaur exhibit that they werent sure of yet was beneficial and important

answer was pastoral

She seemed pretty confused and cranky to me. They did change then name of her favorite dinosaur
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Keep in mind the question asked about a SPECIFIC set of lines, not the overall passage. I checked carefully and there were no adjectives that implied any sort of confusion.
I think the people that put "bewildered" correlated it with "amazement" (which is what I did at first), but so I tried to eliminate the other answers but could NOT eliminate admiration. So I took the literal definition of bewildered and eliminated it like that.
I put pastoral for that one.. I felt that transient didn't make a lot of sense
sunfire: agree, I think.
and pastoral was correct
she definately wasn't cranky lol
I put important and beneficial
hey guys, we mentioned this before, but i saw a lot of mixed responses:
1) Pertinent observation vs. explanation for Mark Twain quote about adoration and authors
2) "each and every" in the Indian writer passage - redundant, pervasive (i believe C), or impact (choice E).
did anyone think that short paragraph with the woman and emily as an angel was really weird
I have no idea of what I put for Mark Twain question
for each and every I put pervasive... probably not right...
k according to m-w online again:
Bewildered =
1 : to cause to lose one's bearings 2 : to perplex or confuse especially by a complexity, variety, or multitude of objects or considerations
Wasn't she confused and lost because she couldn't even pronounce or remember the new name of her favorite childhood dinosaur?
i think i put explanation for twain and pervasive for each and every but im not sure
sorry, does anyone remember the question and hcoices for the one about the first paragraph about hte indian writer? some sort of transition? i don't believe i put that...
he could not pronounce the scientific name of the dinosaur because of his inability in the subject. a sentence confirming that was later stated in the passage.
the list of the indian writer - rich diversity?
I put pervasive.
bsdber2010
two things
The question referred to the BEGINNING lines of the passage (she expressed none such then)
That would be a bit of stretch even so, just because they changed it, it doesn't neccessarily IMPLY that it confused her.
If it had asked for the overall tone of the passage, I would've considered bewildered as her admiration quickly dies off later.
