CR Question

"Americans should not be taxed to fund the Public Broadcasting Service, and Congress should terminate funding for it. (3) We wouldn't want the federal government to publish a national newspaper. Neither should we have a government television network and a government radio network (7)"

Lines 3-6 ("We wouldn't...network") make use of which rhetorical strategy?
A. Exaggeration
B. Analogy

I was stuck with these two, and I couldn't figure out which was the better answer.
Can you tell me why whatever answer you choose is correct? And why the other one is wrong?
Thanks.

The main argument is that the US shouldn’t fund PBS, which is the “government television network and a government radio network.” The author introduces the example of the federally-funded newspaper as an analogy to PBS (it’s a similar issue).

This is not exaggeration because the author is not stretching the truth- PBS is what he or she says it is. The newspaper example is merely a hypothetical situation that seems within reason (it could happen), so it isn’t an exaggeration.
