Cracking the SAT Code

This is an article on Newsweek about the SAT. What do you think? Do you think that the change in the SAT was a good thing?

<a href="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8939239/site/newsweek/%5B/url%5D">http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8939239/site/newsweek/</a></p>

Also, the end of the article mentions that students might be more inclined to take the ACT instead -- do you think that's true?

Let me know!

C'mon people -- I really want to know what you think.

I disagree with the last part. No matter how the SAT changes, it will always be the standard for the majority of high school students.

That's kind of what I was thinking, too. Anyone else?

Interesting read. The SAT Essay is quite hard and should definetly be nerfed.

stupid question, but what does nerfed mean?

bump.............

Weaken it, possibly in more ways that one. So like increase the time to 30 minutes and/or make the topic have a more direct approach. The way it currently is, it makes it very hard for the readers to grade it with total objectivity (although thats what they claim). Of course this doesnt matter for me, but Im worried for my brother.

bummmpppp....

any more thoughts?
