<p>Writing is one my true passions; but I need to be practical about my goals in life. I know we can't all be the 'Next Great American Novelist' but I was wondering if there are any real world applications for some who is a Creative Writing or English major (besides the teaching field)? Any one else who is passionate about Literature but can't find a real application to it? Much appreciation to any input =)</p>
<p>Any one who can write well will always be employable. Make sure your creative writing program focuses on reading and editing skills as well as creative writing and some one will hire you.</p>
<p>You could double in journalism, and that would certainly help you find work. Of course, if you don't like journalism, don't, but if you don't mind it, then it's another great outlet for your creative energies!</p>
