<p>taking Cornell Vet, for example…the standard requirement is one year of Frosh (inorganic) chem, one year of bio, one year of organic chem…Cornell is on the semester system, so they require 6 units of each (or a full year). A typical quarter school, such as Chicago or Stanford or UC would mean you take those courses all year, or three quarters. Since Dartmouth is on compacted quarter system, a ‘full year’ of Frosh chem curriculum is offered over two quarters; ditto Bio and Organic chem. Vet schools are aware of Dartmouth’s policy, so it should not be an issue.</p>
