CS 1114 offered this fall???

I'm an incoming freshman in the school of Engineering. I know it's early, but I've already started looking at classes I plan on taking in the fall and prepared a list. What I wanted to know is if CS 1114, Honors Intro to MATLAB with Robotics, is being offered this fall? For the past two years it was only offered in the Spring though the CS website says it's offered fall and spring. CS 1114 sounds like a really awesome class; the professor is supposed to be good, it falls within my field of interest and I really would prefer the <10 class size of CS 1114 to the >50 sizes of the other intro comp courses.

My earlier choice was CS 1112 (Intro MATLAB). I'm not looking at the Intro Java offerings because I've taken Java for the past two years in high school and have a reasonably good grasp of the language (A+ all four terms).

Also, any input from anyone who has taken this class would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

I took the class Spring '09 and TA’d for it Spring '10. It was actually the class that inspired me to become a CS major. I don’t believe it’s being offered this fall, here’s the roster of courses:
[Cornell University Registrar: Course and Time Roster Fall 2010](http://registrar.sas.cornell.edu/courses/roster/FA10/CS/)

But I highly recommend taking it Spring '11 if possible. I believe Professor Snavely, who taught it the past two years, is not teaching it this coming year. However, regardless of who teaches it, the material is very interesting and relatively advanced for an intro course. It is taught at a very basic level, meaning anyone can pick it up without much trouble.

You have no idea how much that bummed me out. Thanks a lot though, that’s really helpful!
