CS + Linguistics!

Did anyone else apply to the CS + Linguistics major? Also, do you think its bad if my essay was primarily focused on CS and did not really mention Linguistics at all? I know its late to be thinking this but I can’t help it as d-day approaches! My grades in Spanish class have been relatively my lowest grades but as I understand Linguistics is not as much about foreign languages as it is about understanding the development of language and such topics so I feel like that should not be as much of a problem.

If anyone wants to chance me that would be appreciated…

I go to school in Florida. I am born in Pakistan but I was raised here.

Wrote my essay about my early interest in computers and how I always wanted to be a lawyer and I joined my schools pre law track but my interest in CS developed and I realized I wanted to work in that field as well and eventually realized I could study CS, go to law school, and work in the field of Cyber Law.

Thanks

Also, based on my schools history with UIUC it seems almost impossible that I get rejected but unfortunately I can’t see what major the previous students from my school applied for and am worried because I know UIUC is a top CS school and expect the admissions process to be quite harder

Hi, my D got into CS+Linguistics ( was her second choice major).

Does one get admitted to a major? Or to a university (for any major)?

You are admitted to either your first choice major, second choice major, or division of general studies.
