CS salary

Why do these guys get paid so much more than other engineers. Looking at my schools data it looks like bs in cs earn as much as guys with masters in ee or sometimes even more! Cs ppl in my school get disappointed with starting offers of 75k even if they have not so great gpas, yet almost any ee will be happy with like 60k (not that 60 k is a bad number at all. would be quite ecstatic to even get a job and super ecstatic at 60k lol).

I am just curious as to why this occurs. Is it just how industry is right now? I mean some ee's can program pretty well too, so are they not more versatile? Yet a lot of cs ppl (some sub 3.0) already have high paying offers while significantly higher gpa ee still have no jobs and it would take a couple of years to get up to the cs starting salary.
my school is top 10 in both...

not really complaining, but what is the cause for this massive discrepancy (also it is a bit annoying to hear cs majors complain about such nice salaries lol)?

Supply and Demand.
