My guidance counselor is supposed to give me the code for the fee waiver to CSS Profile, but she’s never done this before and ever code hasn’t worked. How long do I have to do this? Is there a due date? I applied restrictive early action to a school.
The school should have set a deadline to send in your CSS profile. When I did my CSS, they automatically applied a fee waiver based on the income I reported and they told me that when I was done filling out every section. So maybe fill out everything and see if they give you one?
I did fill everything out. We qualify based on hardship and not income. So a fee code is needed.
On the site it said the priority decision is passed.
@pdvxpz20 Are you saying you missed the school’s deadline to submit CSS? If so, you will have to speak with an admissions person (who may send you to fin aid dept) to see what should be your next step.
If your family income is below a certain level, a prompt will appear telling you there will be no fee to send your profile. I can’t remember the cut off $ amount. Your counselor shouldn’t need to do anything if you are qualifying for the fee waiver this way. The confusing part is there is nothing that indicates this while you are filling out the information. However, once you get to the end, the prompt should appear.
Yea that’s how it happened for me
