- Should Health Education be included in my list of high school coursework? A few days ago, I had a school counselor help me fill out my high school coursework. I was told that health would go under "G" as part of the A-G requirements, so I heeded her words and listed health as a "G" course on my application. However, when I was finalizing my application, I saw at the top of the section page these words: "Report all courses that will be used to satisfy the A-G subject requirements. Do not include non-college preparatory courses such as Health or Physical Education." Thus, I am confused whether or not to include Health Education on my application. Other academic figures at my school have also said that health is a "G" class. I've already roamed around on the Internet searching for answers, and so far I've seen all nos. However, I am still perplexed by this situation. Do I keep health as a "G" class on my application or should I take it off?
- Am I supposed to add AP exams that I am planning to take?
- You can check if Health Education is an a-g course for your High School by checking this website:
https://hs-articulation.ucop.edu/agcourselist
Type in your HS name and all a-g courses offered at your HS will be listed. In General, Health education is not an a-g course.
- You can list AP exams you plan to take if you want on the application. It is not required.
I checked my school and Health Education was indeed listed as a “G” course. So that means I include it as is on my application?
Yes ^^^
Okay, thank you!
