CSU Long Beach or Cal Poly Pomona for Math

I've been accepted to the mathematics master's programs at both CSULB & Pomona and am having a hard time deciding which to choose. What are the reputations for their math departments? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Well, I don’t really know, but Cal Poly is way better for engineering, and engineering and math are related, so I would guess Cal Poly is better.

Honestly, I don’t know. I am an applied math major at Cal Poly Pomona and had my orientation there only just yesterday. I loved the faculty there. I think you would be better off contacting each and have a chat. Cal Poly is more prestigious for technical subjects than Long Beach.

Thank you both for the input. I have contacted both programs for information and am hoping to set up a visit to meet with faculty and grad students. Hopefully, that will help.

Anyone else have any other information?
