CSU Monterey Bay vs. CSU Channel Islands?

So, I need some help for these 2 colleges and I don’t really know which one to go. I want to major in Computer Science. Although, in Monterey Bay offers CS&IT (Computer science and information technology) and Channel Islands is just Computer Science. In Monterey Bay I heard is like how you manage with technology, and in CI you create your own technology. Any more suggestion?

I would compare the classes for each major to see if there is a difference between the campuses. One curriculum may be more suited to your aspirations than another.

IT is more about managing computers and software, compared to CS which is about designing computers and software.

CSUMB’s CS&IT department has the CS and IT courses mixed together in its catalog. You may want to compare the course list to those at schools where CS is just its own department, so that you can determine which ones are CS and which ones are IT.

I can’t help with the comparison. I can say there are a good number of local employers in Camarillo, Oxnard, Ventura, and Thousand Oaks; including very well known ones, that work with CSUCI in providing CS internships. I have heard only good things about CS and Math at CSUCI.

If I go to CSUMB as CS&IT, can I still design computers and not worry in the IT field?
