Has anyone been accepted without completing thier golden four. I got a c- in my critical thinking class and i know you need a c or better.

Samdaman: Holly gave great advice. Logon to Titan Online, navigate to Student Center, then to Application Status. It should tell you whether or not a decision has been made, and also if there are any outstanding items needed to be complete before a decision can be made. Hope you make it!!!

Livelifechi, I think that with impaction, your Critical Thinking C- will hurt you (Golden Four must be successfully completed, and 60 units acquired from transfer institution before you can be admitted, from my understanding).

Heads up to all: out-of-area students are being held to a higher admission standard than locals (OC high schools and colleges). Thank the terrible economy for that little hurdle. My understanding is that freshmen need approx. 3.5+ GPA if out of county, but it could be higher based on number of applications received.

I just got my acceptance letter today :D

hi everyone! i’ve been contemplating if i should join collegeconfidential but because i’ve becoming antsy because of my acceptance letter, i really need help or advice.

i applied to csu fullerton on november 26, 2010 for the fall application (undergraduate). my cumulative gpa is 3.24 but after my first senior semester it bumped up to 3.4. my sat score is bad and i only received about 1400 and i applied for the international business program which is impacted. i’m also not in the area but i do live in california. until now i havent received my acceptance letter while another friend of mine who has a 3.4 with a business major as well did get in and she even said she was invited to the honors program (i dont know if shes lying or not but shes definitely not making me feel better)

my twin sister got accepted and well, her gpa is high. it’s around 3.8 >< and the major she declared was liberal arts or something…

i really want to go to csu fullerton… because of their business school and their study abroad program. do you think i will be rejected because of my low sat scores? and gpa as well? do you guys know when they will send the last admission? because i was reading some posts and they said that they are still accepting until april. please help me!

There is a calculation that Admissions makes - the formula is available on the website (see “prospective students” link on home page). The threshold for out-of-area (e.g. non-OC) CA residents is currently 3700. You can do the calculation to see where you land.

If you do not make the initial threshold, there is still a possibility that they will lower that; it all depends on how many of those accepted actually meet the requirements (7th semester transcripts, acceptance of admission offer, deposit received on time, etc.).

Sorry I can’t be of more help. The CSU system is working blindly - they still don’t know what the budget will be for next year, and admissions is basing decisions on projected support from the state. It is a difficult situation for all involved.

My fingers are crossed for you - the Business School is terrific! Best wishes!!

thank you for answering! it’s very nice of you i’m above the initial threshold so i’m hoping that i will get accepted… i’ll pay the deposit earlier than everyone even if im not accepted yet ><

I just got accepted this morning as a transfer student. They didn’t send an e-mail or letter. I was able to check my status via Titan Online. For those wondering, I’m a history major. Good luck to everyone else! :)

I got accepted yesterday! I’m so happy They actually called me a week ago and asked me to send my transcripts again because apparently they lost it. I can’t wait to attend this college this fall! :)

where can u check online that you have been admitted to csuf?

Logon to Titan Online (using the CWID that was assigned to you upon application to the university), navigate to Student Center, then to Application Status. It should tell you whether or not a decision has been made, and also if there are any outstanding items needed to be complete before a decision can be made. Hope you make it!!!

do you check on the website (CSU Fullerton) or do they email you if you got accepted?

I believe you get an acceptance letter in the snail mail, but that would arrive LONG after it would be posted on your Titan Online account. Check there often.

Best wishes!

I just got accepted today! I recieved an email!

3mshaw, are you an OC student, out-of-county, or out of state? That would help determine which groups are hearing back from the school now.

Thank you, and congratulations!

I am an out of state! and thanks!

My daughter received her acceptance snail mail (we were not checking website, it could have been there earlier). Arrived about 2-3 weeks ago. We are Southern California outside their Orange County local zone. She is Film/Television major.

We are out of state and my daughter received an acceptance email yesterday.

Has anyone else gotten accepted yet? I’m a local transfer student, still waiting on a letter.

Be sure that you get all your transcripts in, and that you check your Titan Online “to do” list often.

I’ve sent in all my transcripts, and the only thing left to do is my MPN, which I’ve done already. I don’t know why it’s still there, I finished my stafford loan counseling the same time as the MPN, but only stafford loan counseling was checked off.
